Morgan Daniel "Mo" Pitney (born March 24, 1993) is anAmerican country and bluegrass singer-songwriter from Cherry Valley, Illinois. Praised for his classic neotraditional sound, he broke out in 2014 with his debut single "Country" and has since released two studio albums: Behind This Guitar (2016) and Ain't Lookin' Back (2020).
After moving to Nashville, Pitney signed with Curb Records and quickly earned a standing ovation during his very first performance on the iconic Grand Ole Opry stage. Over the years, his neotraditional style has set him apart in an era of pop-influenced country, earning him "Artist to Watch" nods from Rolling Stone, Billboard, and The Bobby Bones Show. In addition to his solo work, he performs in a bluegrass duo known as Pitney Meyer alongside his friend John Meyer.
An accomplished fiddle player, Emily often joins her husband on stage and across his socials, showcasing her deft musicianship and angelic harmony. The couple has recently been covering classics by Johnny and June on Instagram, as well as trying out some unreleased material.
Emily played the fiddle and clawhammer banjo in the Americana and bluegrass group The Bankesters. She has since stepped away from the band to focus on her family and frequently joins her husband as a touring musician and vocalist.
